President Report

  • Paperwork for Avery RTP has been compiled
  • We have two RTP’s left: Middle Black and Butter Gap – Butter Gap needs NEPA
  • Pisgah Conservancy will pay for NEPA
  • Awarded $5,000 grant for “Safety training and equipment” – Waiting on letter to proceed with guidance to move forward from state
  • Forest Reopening – No timeline yet, no names on trails opening, some gravel starting to reopen, FS has said they will clear trees not volunteers

Falling Creek Camp visit – Jack, Mike, Jared and Matt went

  • 900 acre boys camp, 10 weeks of summer trails are used by campers. This leaves the rest of the year for trails to sit with no use so they would like to partner with an organization to get more riders on their trails in the offseason.
  • Good potential for events for PAS.  Ideas: Bring a kid to bike, Trail work events, Races, Private member events, Series race

  • 4 contractors were invited to give bids and 3 did a walkthrough
  • Ed Sutton and Matt Malone submitted bids
  • BOD votes for Matt Malone to get the project
