Pisgah Area SORBA Trail Network

OVERVIEW

Surrounded by National Forests and Parks, the mountains of North Carolina have some of the best trails on the East Coast.

Pisgah Area SORBA is dedicated to preserving mountain biking opportunities by maintaining and improving trail systems in the Pisgah Ranger District and surrounding region. We work hard to keep over 200 miles single and double track sustainable, rideable and fun! Click here for a highlighted list of the trails we maintain. Below is a list of the trail systems we are involved with, as well as an interactive map of trails in our region. Click around on both to find out more about the great riding we have around here. And please consider helping our efforts by becoming a member or by supporting our efforts!

TRAIL STATUS REPORTS

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!
Our trail systems are susceptible to freeze/thaw conditions in the winter, and at times may be too wet to ride throughout the year. Please see the individual pages below for information on how to find the most up-to-date information on whether trails may be in poor riding conditions.

RIDE DIRT TRAILS—NOT MUD TRAILS!
HELP KEEP THESE TRAILS GREAT FOR YOU AND OTHERS BY NOT RIDING WHEN THEY’RE MUDDY.

Riding on a mud trail wrecks the trail. It leaves ruts, contributes to erosion, and creates an unrideable, hard to fix trail surface. If you are leaving a visible rut, the trail is too muddy to ride.
