Celebrating a Legacy and Ensuring a Future: Support Pisgah Area Trails and Win Big!

Press Release: Brevard, NC (Oct. 2, 2023) - For nearly two decades years, Pisgah Area SORBA has worked alongside the United States Forest Service in the legendary Pisgah Ranger District, near Brevard, NC, to maintain and protect some of the most sought after singletrack in the country. The area’s steep, rocky, and rooty trails draw riders year round. However, unpredictable and erratic weather patterns challenge the terrain and leave these trails susceptible to environmental damage. A recent surge in trail popularity over the past few years, with over 6,000 users measured on a single trail in one month, alongside these difficult weather patterns, has created a demanding environment for the Pisgah Area SORBA volunteer trail crews. From 2021 to date, Pisgah Area SORBA's dedicated volunteers have clocked over 10,000 volunteer hours to the forest, ensuring that the iconic Pisgah singletracks remain accessible and enjoyable. By entering to win a custom bike and skills experience, you have the opportunity to support both the sustainability of Pisgah trails and the nonprofit which maintains them.

In support of this conservation effort, The Hub and Pisgah Tavern, in collaboration with industry partners including Santa Cruz Bicycles, Industry Nine, Cane Creek, WTB, Magura, SRAM, and Thomson, present an exciting opportunity: a custom-built mountain bike up for grabs this fall! The fortunate winner of the bike will also receive a two hour Private Skills Lesson from MTB Skill Factory, whose custom curriculum will allow the winner to have more fun, build confidence, and unlock new abilities on expanding terrain. By entering to win, you’re not only supporting the classic Pisgah trails, but you're also ushering in a sustainable mountain biking future for Western North Carolina.
