Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day!

This past weekend, in collaboration with Asheville Parks and Recreation, Pisgah SORBA once again hosted Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at Richmond Hill. It was inspiring to see so many kids and parents coming out to celebrate the joys of biking! Despite slightly chilly conditions, our crew had a wonderful time interacting with so many community members.

A special shoutout to KidCycle, who not only provided bikes, but taught a skills course and raffled off a Prevelo Kid’s Bike as a fundraiser for PAS. We also want to thank Daily Cycle and Bill Velthaus for being our on-site mechanics, as well as Motion Makers and Second Gear for providing swag to all of our participants. Lastly, we were grateful for the help of student volunteers from the Brevard Cycling team, who led our group rides this year. We can’t wait to see what next year holds!
