How Do I Report Trail Issues?

The best way for us as trail stewards to know what is happening in the woods is for you (trail users) to let us know if you see something on the trail that concerns you. Trees across the trail, trail tread erosion, dangerous objects on the trail, we want to know it all so we can help keep the trails safe for all to use. Whether you are riding in Richmond Hill, Brevard Area, Mills River, Turkey Pen, or Bent Creek, we have crews that can access the trails fast and take care of most issues. The fastest and easiest way to let us know about an issue is to go to our Report an Issue form and fill out as much information as possible. If you are using Trail Forks, Strava or another GPS tracking, a pinpoint location will help us get to the issue faster. Pictures or screenshots of the issue and posting them on local Facebook trail forums are super helpful for users as well. When posting photos of any issues, it is helpful to use a bike helmet next to the tree or damage for reference in size. If, the tree is moveable and you move it off trail, please let us know in case it has already been reported and we are en route to take care of the issue. These steps help ensure we coordinate the proper removal of any issue. If you have questions, please contact us directly at trailcc@pisgahareasorba.org. Thank you for the support and help with maintaining safety on trails.
